Into the Breach Launch Day

By Edie Cay

Today is the Day for Into the Breach with You!

My ADHD-coded heroine gets her chance to shine. I have a feeling, judging from the early reviews, that this is another polarizing book like the third in my other series, A Lady’s Finder. Like the character of Jack Townsend, Justine Brewer is a FORCE. Her voice is different, strong-willed, and…a bit chaotic.
She leaps without looking, chooses adventure without hearing the other options, and is determined to prove not just her worth, but her superiority. For some, this personality comes off as “irritating” and “arrogant.” But if you know and love ADHD-ers, you’ve heard that before. Plagued also by self-doubt and feelings of worthlessness, Justine finds acceptance and appreciation with not only the rest of the Ladies Alpine Society, but also her mountain guide, Karl Vogel. It’s a very Anna-and-Kristoff vibe. (From Frozen. Not classic Russian literature.)

I would also love to share this stellar review of the first in the series, In Knots Over You, from the Historical Novel Society. You can read it here.

If you’ve read these books, please leave me a review! It helps every author, and as a reader, I’m guilty of not leaving them either. It’s hard for me to remember, honestly. But I’m giving you the reminder right here! While my Ladies Alpine Society series is on Amazon only (because it is enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, which demands you don’t publish with other outlets), my other series is available on a variety of bookstores like Barnes and Noble and Apple, I also have digital and paperbacks available on my own website, ediecay.com

I leave you with the back cover information for Into the Breach With You.

A fearless woman determined to climb the Matterhorn.

Justine Brewer has been underestimated her entire life. Now, in Switzerland, at the foot of the Matterhorn, she has to prove that her pretty face and short stature have nothing to do with her strength and capabilities. The Ladies’ Alpine Society must acclimate to the elevation and rough conditions of the Alpine environment. It doesn’t help that the guide they’ve hired to take them up the mountain is insulting and demanding—and handsome. He issues a challenge, and Justine works double to prove that she’s not afraid of a little climbing; but is she ready to fall?

A capable mountain guide with a chip on his shoulder.

Karl Vogel is proud to be helping with his uncle and aunt’s new Zermatt inn to accommodate the influx of Alpine tourism. But Karl did not ever believe that his first clients through the inn would be a group of pampered Englishwomen. They look delicate and breakable. How are they supposed to endure a mountain that has killed far heartier men, especially when they are just as arrogant as everyone who swans into his home with something to prove? But when that feisty one who doesn’t even look big enough to climb a mountain shows up early every morning to accompany him, he starts to warm to the group, and her most of all.

Can they work together to conquer a mountain? Or will their egos keep them apart?
