My ADHD-coded heroine gets her chance to shine. I have a feeling, judging from the early reviews, that this is another polarizing book like the third in my other series, A Lady’s Finder. Like the character of Jack Townsend, Justine Brewer is a FORCE. Her voice is different, strong-willed, and…a bit chaotic.
She leaps without looking, chooses adventure without hearing the other options, and is determined to prove not just her worth, but her superiority. For some, this personality comes off as “irritating” and “arrogant.” But if you know and love ADHD-ers, you’ve heard that before. Plagued also by self-doubt and feelings of worthlessness, Justine finds acceptance and appreciation with not only the rest of the Ladies Alpine Society, but also her mountain guide, Karl Vogel.
