If you’re a historical fiction writer, you’ve probably heard of The History Quill. This is an organization that aims to provide dedicated support to historical fiction writers at every stage of the writing process. One of their keynote events is an annual online Convention, with a wide range of expert presentations, panel discussions, live critiques and discussion groups. The Convention takes place from Friday 7th February through Sunday 9th February 2025.
The Paper Lantern Writers are delighted to have been asked to present two panel sessions at The History Quill Convention. One of these is a 90-minute session called Building a beautiful book: self-publishing that looks traditional (Sunday 9th February 21:30 – 23:00 (GMT) / 16:30 – 18:00 (EST) / 13:30 – 15:00 PST).
The panel will feature four Paper Lantern Writers: Edie Cay, Mari Anne Christie, Jonathan Posner and Alina Rubin, sharing their knowledge and experience of successful self-publishing. Panel attendees will learn how to present their self-published book with all the quality and professionalism of a traditionally published novel, and therefore be better able to compete effectively with traditionally published books.
If you’ve written a historical fiction novel, and are considering your publishing options, then this session is most definitely for you!
You can sign up for the Convention, and register for this session, by following this link.*
It promises to be a lively and informative event – the four presenters look forward to seeing you there!
